What skills will European agrifood professionals need to lead the twin transition?
TWIN-IN project was represented at the 194th EAAE Seminar in Chania, Greece, with the presentation of our latest paper:
“Skills and Sustainable Futures: Building Competence Frameworks for Twin Transitions in European Agrifood Systems” by Marcello De Rosa, Luca Bartoli, Chrysanthi Charatsari, Belén Diezman, Evagelos Lioutas, Anastasios Michailidis, Adolfo Moya, Constantino Valero, and Tiziana Pagnani.
Tiziana Pagnani presented the development process of the TWIN-IN Competence Framework, aimed at bridging the green and digital skills gap in European agriculture.
At the heart of the work is the concept of the “2035 twin professional”: the next generation of actors equipped to navigate and lead both the digital and sustainable transformation of our agrifood systems.
TWIN-IN’s framework represents a step toward aligning higher education and training with the future needs of the agrifood sector.
